Spring is sprung! It’s time to break out the floral. I don’t know about you, but I am so excited for the warmer temps. Spring always feels like a rebirth, and now, more than ever, we need that!
I’m currently typing up this post from my hotel room in Las Vegas. It’s my first “pandy” vaca, and I’m sure a lot of you are wondering how and why I chose Vegas. To be honest, Vegas is usually a relaxing trip for me. Maybe it’s because it’s my usual medical conference destination — or that the weather is pretty much guaranteed for 8 months of the year — or that there are a ton of great restaurants, shops, shows, and nightlife.
I’m not going to lie — Vegas is different in a pandemic. The hustle and bustle is barely palpable. Shows, nightlife, and even major hotels are closed down or operating on a Thursday through Sunday schedule. Also, masks at the pool in 80 degree weather is a bit… much. Still, it’s nice to squeeze in a quick trip after all that I’ve been through in the last year. I still can’t believe that one year ago, we were getting rocked with the initial wave of coronavirus at our hospital in NJ.
Anyway, I digress, back to the fashion! I picked up this floral Liberty print shirt a few weeks ago. It’s just such a happy print. I loved it so much that I snagged the matching headband, which gives my girl, Lele, a little run for her money. How comfortable and affordable! Plus, I love how it’s a straw headband, and the fabric is used as a trim. This headband would look so cute paired with the summer accessory of the year — the denim jacket! I finished pairing off my look with distressed Mom jeans and raffia slides.
