Post Gym Skin Care Tips

As someone who works out regularly, I like to have my gym essentials ready to go.  One of my New Year resolutions is to work on my fitness (20 year old body — where you at?!).  Half the battle of going to the gym and getting motivated to workout is having everything you need at your fingertips.  Just like the proper travel essentials, there are a few of things I can’t go to the gym without.  I like to keep a bag packed at all times, so I’m more likely to get in a good sweat session.

Sweating can be a great way to detoxify your skin, but having the right products at your fingertips post-workout is essential.  Touching machines, equipment, and towels is a great way to spread bacteria to your skin.  No one wants the dreaded breakout!

Besides packing my favorite sneakers in my ultra posh new gym tote, I always bring skincare with me.  These Ultra-Calming face cloths are gentle, calming, and soothe redness.  They’re great at getting the dirt and grime off without being too harsh.  I’m also a huge fan of this 60 Second In-Shower Facial, which I use at least twice weekly.  I’ve been using mine religiously since May, and I still have over ¾ product left in the tube.  A little goes a long way!  Rich in soy and lemon peel extract, it works with the steam of the shower to gently exfoliate dead skin.  Who has time for a mask or peel when you can multi-task in the shower?! 🙌🏻 #allaboutthemultitask

As a long time fan of Aveeno skincare, I was so excited when their team sent over some new products from their newly expanded Positively Radiant collection.  Featuring natural light diffusers to enhance skin’s natural radiance coupled with the brand’s famous 24 hour moisture protection, skin is left smooth and hydrated without feeling sticky.

The Positively Radiant Exfoliating Body Wash targets redness and discoloration.  Uneven skin tone has unfortunately become much more noticeable in my thirties.  It’s my most annoying skin issue.  Thankfully, thanks to great exfoliating products such as Aveeno, my discoloration is at bay.  I’ll be much more vigilant about applying sunscreen, though, to prevent future discoloration… don’t want to undo this progress!
