6 Bachelorette Party Ideas

I can’t believe that wedding season is finally here!  It got me thinking about my favorite #goals couple, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, who tied the knot in the newest film, Fifty Shades Freed (Blu-ray combo pack + exclusive packaging + photo gallery inside), of the Fifty Shades trilogy.  I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding this summer, and bachelorette party planning is fully underway!

Destination bachelorette parties are typically my favorite, as I love traveling to warm weather locations.  Working on my tan + rosé all day + dancing all night = the perfect maid party!  Weddings and all of the fun leading up to the big day can get very expensive for the bridal party.  I just returned from a trip to Las Vegas, and it got me thinking about fun bachelorette party ideas that don’t break the bank.

1.  Karaoke Bar with a Private Room

Jam out to ‘NSync’s “It’s Gonna Be Me” or Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” in the privacy of your very own karaoke room.  Rooms typically run about $60/hour for 6-10 of your closest friends.  This is a really fun way to end off the night, once you’ve been feeling the buzz of a few cocktails.  I’ve been to a karaoke bar or two in New York City after my college days, and it’s much more fun with a few drinks in.  Really relive those college days by ordering a Malibu Bay Breeze or Jager shot for the bride… no one will judge!

2.  Girls’ Night In with Fifty Shades Freed

Get some snacks delivered, pop the bubbly, and play some Fifty Shades trivia while you get ready to watch Fifty Shades Freed, the latest movie from the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.  The Fifty Shades Freed Exclusive Unrated DVD is available now only at Walmart.  If you’re anything like me, you’ve read all of the books and movies, and Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele are your couple goal!  This sexy movie takes you through the Grey’s swoon-worthy nuptials, steamy honeymoon, and starting their life together as newlyweds with a few twists and unexpected turns.  Watching Christian and Anna’s relationship unfold was a little surprising because it shows a shift in power.

One of the best parts is watching the bonus content at the end of the movie.  The Walmart version gets you exclusive access to scenes that didn’t make the cut, interviews with Jamie Dornan & Dakota Johnson, music videos, and interviews with the creators.  Walmart is a one stop shop, which makes it perfect to pick up decorations or supplies for the night!

3.  Spa Party

All of that partying can lead up to some much needed R&R.  Sweat out all of those toxins in the sauna by hosting a spa day for your girls.  Indulge in mani/pedis, facials, or massages at a local spa.  Broke from the festivities?  Break out the sheet masks, nail polishes, and cucumber eye pads and have a girls night in watching Fifty Shades Freed (see above).

4.  Private Yoga or Barre Class

Book a morning sweat session to align your chakras and prepare your body for the toxins yet to come.  Many studios offer private sessions for you and all of your maids at reasonable rates.  Another idea is bringing the party to you, as many instructors can be hired to teach at a home or hotel suite.  A group sweat session may be just what the doctor ordered after indulging in too many party treats.

5.  Choreography Class

In the same vein, you can burn off those Mai Tais at a group choreography class.  Imagine (finally) learning all of the moves to Britney’s “Hit Me Baby One More Time” or The Pussycat Dolls “Don’t Cha” dance videos?! #LifeComplete 🙌🏻  Many larger cities, such as New York City, offer choreography classes which are reasonably priced and nothing short of fun.

6. Vineyard Tour

Plan a day at a local vineyard (if available in your area) for wine tasting and charcuterie.  Many vineyards offer transportation — hello, stretch limo! — and lunch at a local restaurant.  You can even plan a vineyard tour and sample wines from the region at 3 different vineyards.

Have you watched the Fifty Shades series or plan to watch Fifty Shades Freed? Are you planning a bachelorette party for yourself or bridal party? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments section below!
