By the time you read this blog post, I’ll be en route to Las Vegas for a nurse practitioner convention and fun in the sun. I’ve had a cold for the past week, and I’m praying the air travel doesn’t rupture my eardrums. I have notoriously small Eustachian tubes and normally have difficulty clearing my ears. I ruptured my eardrums once on a flight to Florida in high school, and I have a little PTSD from the experience. I’m taking all the necessary precautions, like decongestants, steroid nasal spray, and gum, and also investing in some Ear Planes. I’ve heard great things about them, so I’ll let you know how they work! #fingerscrossed
