Chances are if you work in the medical field, you know how difficult it is to find a great fitting set of scrubs.  The unisex cotton, scratchy, and often faded and mismatched brand the hospital provides are just not glamorous.  Factor in a 12 hour overnight shift in uncomfortable “pajamas”, and you’re practically dreaming about changing into the real deal come the morning.

When FIGS, an online retailer supplying high quality, tailored medical apparel, reached out to me, I had no idea that comfortable scrubs existed.  As I researched the brand, I discovered that the brand was created by a fellow Heather and inspired by the founder’s friend — a nurse practitioner.  FIGS is specifically designed with the hardworking medical professional in mind.  Their technical designs are made with antimicrobial, wrinkle resistant, and durable fabrics that are also supremely soft, lightweight, and breathable.

In terms of sizing, the scrubs are definitely more fitted than the traditional unisex style provided by the hospital.  They are super soft and stretchy.  I found that I needed to size up in the top for a roomier fit.  The pants are sooo comfortable!  The fit is inspired by yoga pants and features a wide yoga waistband with contrasting draw-cord.  The fit is true to size and the perfect length for me — I’m 5’4″ for reference.  I absolutely love these pants, and I don’t think I could rave enough about them!  The color is rich and vibrant, and the scrub set washes beautifully.  There’s barely any need for ironing.  They’re truly wash and go!

Disclosure:  Scrubs provided by FIGS for review, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.  Thank you for supporting the partnerships that keep my blog up and running!

What size did you pick for top and bottom? I’m 5’3 ~160lb and I order medium top and bottom and I’m nervous they may be too small. Thanks

Hi Allie, I’m wearing a size medium top and small bottoms. Hope this helps!

What is the fit like compared to other brands of scrubs?

Hi Lindsay, the fit is pretty similar to other scrubs. I ended up sizing up to a medium to the top in FIGS because it’s more tailored than traditional unisex scrubs. I am larger in the bust. I took a small on the bottom.

Did you notice the deep royal blue to resemble purple too much?

I dont know why figs dont have the basic joggers in khaki color I love the fit and the material but can never find what I want in that color. I never knew that color that’s so basic is so hard to find
