One of my favorite cold weather pieces are my leather leggings. They fit like a glove and instantly make an otherwise casual outfit more glam. I love the versatility — you can pair them with a soft, feminine blouse or a chunky, warm sweater (like I’m wearing above).
But not all leather pants are created equal. The last time I owned leather pants was circa 1999. I distinctly remember owning an olive green GAP pair that I rocked freshman year of high school. They were a stiff, traditional straight-leg pair, and although I felt like a million bucks in them, they were hot — and not in the good way!
Flash forward to nearly 15 years later (umm, I’m old), leather pants are back and in a big way. The updated version has an elastic waistband to accommodate a food baby pasta dinner — hehe. The leather is much softer and more forgiving and wayyy more comfortable. I scooped up my Theory leggings last year, but I’d love to snatch up this perfectly distressed brown pair. Everyone should own these leggings! And for those of you who don’t wear leather, there are plenty of great faux/vegan options, such as this one and this one.
